Production Operator / Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation Trainer (Bahrain)



Overview:
Plans, prepares and delivers training programs and short specific courses primarily for electrical
 technicians and trainees
to assist in meeting competence levels within defined workplace standards and to meet business
 needs.
Responsibilities:
- Produces training and assessment materials to support training programs and courses
- Maintains training records
- Delivers on and off job training to electrical technicians and trainees to meet competence standards
- Plays an active part in Electrical Authorisation training
- Carries out competence assessments on existing technicians; performs gap analysis and closes
   gaps with competence based training
- Assists in the development of a training strategy and plan to  ensure that all electrical technicians
  and trainees achieve competence within a defined time frame
- Develops, monitors and maintains a KPI tracking and reporting system for all technicians and trainees
- Assess effectiveness of training delivered against competences required.
- Reviews, modifies, and develops training programs as required.
- Applies company Health, Safety and Environmental rules and regulations, policies and procedures
   into all facets of training as necessary
- Undertakes further duties as required to facilitate and enhance training and operational activities
- And other duties as assigned by your supervisor
Qualifications:
- A recognized qualification such as a diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent is required
- At least 10 (ten) years experience as an electrical technician/senior technician in oil and gas field
electrical maintenance preferably in the Middle East
- Minimum of 5 (five) years experience delivering on and off job competence based training in an offshore or
preferably onshore oil/gas operations environment
- Exposure to and experience in training and assessment within a defined competence framework
- An accredited qualification as an assessor in workplace assessment such as an NVQ A1 would be viewed
favorably as would formal training as a trainer
- Proven ability in planning and delivering competence based training; writing and working with flexible
delivery formats and modes;
assessment of competence in underpinning knowledge and skills based training; workplace assessment,
gap analysis and gap closure
- Well developed English language communication skills and proven ability to transfer knowledge and skills
to technicians and trainees
who use English as a second language
- Well developed IT skills with particular experience in the use of MS Office packages Word, Excel and PowerPoint
